We offer our members a broad selection of movies that span the globe; from Africa and Asia to Eastern Europe and the U.S., in a wide variety of popular genres such as horror, black comedies, westerns, and more. We make it easy for anyone to navigate the world of independent film.
We’re looking for a strategic marketing communications and programs manager who will create and manage key Fandor communications programs to drive overall awareness and fuel growth of Fandor’s subscription base. This role will also be responsible for the support and management of outside PR agencies and contractors.
Qualified candidates will have 6+ years experience in communications marketing, and will have a deep understand of how to build and maintaining Social Media and PR outreach, on a strategic level in order to drive community growth. Familiarity with defining and tracking appropriate metrics is a must.
Candidates should be comfortable with defining differences, strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for each communication channel, and understand and strategize how best to utilize our partners and new programs to reach our target customer.
The ideal candidate will be a marketing/business graduate with strategic mind-set and broad experience in a marketing communications environment.
Develop annual MarCom strategy & objectives in close collaboration with Corporate Marketing team
Develop and execute quarterly marketing plans – key programs and activities – for and with Fandor’s media and acquisition partners in collaboration with other teams at Fandor
Track and report on MarCom and program investments, effectiveness and ROI.
Report back to key teams as appropriate to ensure common understanding of results and alignment on objectives and programs
Develop and roll out customer retention programs (trial conversion and loyalty)
Work with internal teams to ensure all activities align with existing brand guidelines to maximize the product experience
6 years of Marketing Communications and/or Programs experience
Experience in managing PR agency and Social Media marketing a plus
Demonstrated leadership skills to operate in a startup environment, leverage resources across the organization, and interact with other functions.
Track record of developing and driving marketing programs that add measurable business value
Proven track record of managing budgets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive implementation of marketing programs
Proven ability to engage and drive relationship with 3rd party partners (agencies/contractors)
Excellent customer-facing presentation skills, with professional communication skills
Work to deadlines and under pressure with ability to focus on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong planning and organizing skills
Sense of humor and patience
Able to remain flexible to accommodate the teams demands, which can change at short notice
