Arkayne is an exciting internet start-up, providing interactive marketing software, employing a powerful and scalable underlying contextual relevance algorithm.  Arkayne delivers packaged solutions for a diversity of vertical markets, including but not limited to news, media and entertainment, universities and education, consumer products companies, technology firms, financial services and insurance, bloggers, and e-commerce sites. Arkayne’s software suite helps businesses systematically increase traffic, retention (page views and time-on-site), and sales by leveraging your own content and driving leads from partner properties, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Search Engines back to your own site where you recognize a conversion. 

We are currently recruiting Marketing and Sales Engineers to join our Business team. You will have the chance to contribute among different dimensions: conceptualization, research, technical support (pre and post sales) and implementation in both Sales and Marketing roles. You will be working closely with customers and partners, while communicating directly with the development team, continuously improving the product and feature set. Arkayne supports online customers, as well as enterprise business, where you will be working directly with end customers and indirectly through agency partners and independent sales representatives.


Preference for candidates to be located in the San Francisco / San Jose Bay area or Scottsdale/Tempe
Qualified individuals should be prepared to travel between 25% - 40% within the continental USA
Prepare customer collateral materials and presentations
Present to Enterprise customers in person, on the phone, or via a web conference
Work with affiliates and partner organizations
Support bloggers and Enterprise customers with installs and technical questions
Work with the development team to identify enhancements and prioritize feature sets
Work to grow blogger adoption of the Arkayne Plugin
Work closely with cross-functional team
Contribute to the Arkayne Blog on a weekly basis
Take on additional roles as needed to help us build a great company and product
Experience in technical marketing and sales in a professional client environment
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Well versed in social media, including blogs, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to network, market and sell 
Must have a strong understanding of Internet marketing and sales strategies including experience:
Creating and executing a marketing plan
Identifying target customer segments and developing marketing strategies
Developing marketing materials including presentations, brochures, website text, press releases, etc.
Developing sales materials including but not limited to call scripts, template emails, pricing structures, sales process, etc.
Developing, implementing and tracking marketing campaigns for ROI and reach
Developing, implementing, and managing third-party Affiliate Programs is a benefit
Coding experience in HTML, CSS, Python, PHP, or C++ a plus but not requisite
Strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices
Strong understanding of Google AdWords and online advertising
Ability to represent the company in a positive and professional manner
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Must possess a strong understanding of web-based businesses, including but not limited to:
Hosting and maintenance of website
Development of websites, blogs and social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)
Driving focused traffic to websites
Converting traffic to a sale or lead generation
Increasing unique visitors and time on site and reducing bounce rates
Sales skills – independently can generate leads, follow up and close business (small and large) 
Entrepreneurial - thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment and willing to wear multiple hats
Communications – can communicate well verbally and in written form
Driven - motivated by the ability to make an impact
Sharp - comfortable with new technologies and a quick learner
Action oriented – continuously gets things done and hits milestones
Team player - enjoy being part of a young spirited and talented team
Degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Engineering or comparable technical education a plus
Negotiable based on skill set.
