We're IvyDate, a fully funded, high-end private members community connecting single men and women. Founded by 2 Harvard Business School MBA’s and backed by a former Tiger Global investor and the former CEO of Match.com Europe, we have an accomplished team and a product offering that goes far beyond any other dating site. Our team is still relatively small but expanding quickly; we need someone who wants to grow with us, accept a high level of responsibility, and take our marketing strategy to the next level.
If you join us, you'll work closely with executive management to develop and execute comprehensive product marketing plans for both the short and long term to ensure we achieve our objectives. You'll come up with and execute on innovative, creative marketing and social media strategies that will help us significantly increase our membership base, press coverage (already mentioned in WSJ and NY Times) and turn this company into a $1BN business.

1. Planning & Strategy:
a. Develop cutting-edge online, social, and offline marketing strategies to meaningfully grow IvyDate’s member base across major hub cities world-wide
b. Develop relationships with marketing suppliers
2. Analytics & Tracking
a. Analyze conversions from Paid, Social Media, and Offline campaigns, and adjust campaigns and budget allocation as appropriate
b. Develop new strategies depending on the success of previous campaigns
c. Put together performance report on daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
3. Online Marketing
a. Manage Online Marketing Campaigns - execute on following online marketing campaigns: i) Facebook campaigns; ii) Search engine marketing with Google AdWords; iii) Display advertising (via Google and direct publishers); iv) Retargeting campaigns; v) Email marketing campaigns; vi) Affiliate marketing campaigns
b. For each marketing campaign: i) Dynamically Monitor performance; ii) Refresh and optimize ads on an ongoing basis; iii) Design creatives; iv) Create advertising copy
4. Social Media
Create, manage and grow the company’s presence through consistent and organized branding across several platforms:
a. Facebook: i) Develop engaging copy and images for daily posts; ii) Develop creative sweepstakes, promotions, and contests to increase fan base and registrants; iii) Generate effective Facebook advertisements
b. Twitter: i) Actively recruit new members through direct @ mentioning; ii) Grow IvyDate Twitter followers; iii) 4x daily tweets; retweet messages from inspiring brands and people; iv) Use Twitter to engage with the media and conduct customer service
c. Pinterest/Tumblr/Instagram: i) Create dynamic IvyDate Pinterest, Tumblr, and Instagram accounts; grow and maintain followers; ii) Engage with brands that are relevant to IvyDate
d. FourSquare: i) Establish IvyDate as the leading guide to NYC
e. Linkedin: i)Provide business information for fans, members, and potential partners
2+ years of experience in Marketing and/or social media with measurable results
Demonstrated experience with startups and/or consumer-facing web products preferred
In-depth experience monitoring and analyzing campaign results
Analytical skills: You are good at analyzing data and optimizing campaigns based on past performance
Limitless creativity: If your marketing budget was $0, you'd still think of ways to grow our user base
Scrappiness and a love of learning: If you don't know how to do something, you know how to figure it out
Incredible motivation and work ethic: Startup life is not a 9-5 job
Killer writing skills: You can create compelling positioning, messaging, and value propositions
Interdisciplinary knowledge of marketing, including SEM, guerilla marketing, PR, social media, and display
Depending on Experience
