Overview

Doormates is a New York City based startup that develops and launches social networking platforms to bring together people in neighborhoods and in residential apartment buildings. Doormates uses proprietary technology to create private, secure networks that allow users to interact with each other in a safe environment. We also leverage the Facebook platform to create more meaningful connections to the people who live around you.

As Doormates continues to build out its product, we are looking for an exceptional mobile developer to join our technical team. Our web application is currently built on the Facebook platform and you will work to create mobile versions of our app for both iOS and Android. You will be responsible for delivering across the entire app life-cycle: from concept to release to app stores and post-launch support. This is a challenging role, but offers the unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new company and help set its strategic direction.

The ideal candidate will be someone with entrepreneurial drive, a strong orientation towards growth, and a desire to work in a fun environment. You should be a self-starter who takes initiative and is comfortable working with limited top-down supervision. You should have a passion for building businesses and have stellar programming and design skills.
