Overview
SoundCloud is looking for a Mobile/Desktop Apps Product Manager. If you are a driven and technical product person with a passion for mobile and desktop native apps, then please apply! In this role, you will be be taking ownership of several key native SoundCloud apps. You'll be analyzing how our users work with our products, gather and prioritize requirements, and define roadmaps. Working closely with our development team as well as marketing, user experience and support, you will ensure that our products remain ahead of the curve in terms of user experience and features.
Responsibilities
Take ownership over several native SoundCloud apps, such as Android, iPhone, Mac Desktop
Own the development roadmap and feature prioritization
Help defining new features and refine existing ones
Understanding user needs by conducting qualitative and quantitative research
Write feature specifications and memos
Work with our user experience team on design/UX
Work with our developers to implement features
Know the competition in your area and how SoundCloud relates to it
Experience
3 years+ of product management or similar experience
Computer Science Bachelor or higher education
Enough technical depth to understand the complexity of implementing a feature
Demonstrated success in launching excellent products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent teamwork skills
Interaction & software design skills
Skills
Agile development skills
Programming experience, preferably with application frameworks such as Cocoa, Android, Window Phone 7 APIs, etc
Design and usability skills
Knowledge of sound production tools & techniques
Web technology experience
