Mobile Software Engineer

at TripIt in San Francisco, CA   —   Mar 29, 2014   |
Overview
Want to be one of the first 50 employees in a company already nationally praised for technological innovations by the likes of CNN, the Wall Street Journal, and Joel on Software? TripIt was founded by 2nd generation start-up leaders who know how the game is played and, more importantly, how it's won. This is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of a well-funded, privately-held company that values creative, collaborative thinking.

Want to create an application like no other? Our team of highly experienced and super creative engineers has built an application unlike any that have come before it in the online travel space. It is now time for TripIt to take it to the next level, and to do that, we need you. You are the type of engineer that is driven by the challenge of solving unique, difficult technical problems in a compressed timeframe while keeping in mind both the requirements of the business and the user experience.

This position will have you working on TripIt's mobile applications, initially focusing on the iPhone, Blackberry, and Google Android platforms. You must be passionate about developing new technologies and solving difficult technical problems. You should have a good sense of product design, have solid development habits (e.g., unit testing, technical design documentation, etc.), have good experience with backend web technologies. Most importantly, you should not be afraid to dive into new and unfamiliar technologies. Programming experience with iPhones, Blackberries, or J2ME is a strong plus, but it is not required.
