Design and implement highly flexible network configuration management tools for a novel wireless backhaul radio system that delivers drastic increases in non-line-of-sight range, capacity, and spectral efficiency.
Implement a highly available configuration system for managing state of various subsystems
Design for redundancy through virtualization or other hot standby mechanisms
Specify and document relevant system traps and alarms for collecting statistics, event logging and reporting
Build interfaces (CLI, HTTP) for configuration, debugging, fault diagnostics and analysis.
Implement element manager framework using industry standards (SNMP) to provide complete operations, administration, maintenance and provisioning functionalities
Participate in implementing a network management system (NMS), and interfacing with third-party network management systems.
At least 3 years experience in C/C++/Java and network programming or carrier and/or enterprise markets
Experience with designing and implementing element manager systems
Deep understanding of real-time and UNIX-style operating systems (IPC, multi-threading etc) with strong and proven capabilities in troubleshooting the above environments
Advanced knowledge of computer networks and internet architecture
Strong knowledge of network management protocols and provisioning (XML, SNMP, LDAP, HTTP)
Strong skills with scripting languages (Python, Tcl/tk, bash, etc) and web development technologies
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Team player, motivated, self-starter, autonomous working style
Also preferred: Knowledge of wireless systems - WiMax, LTE is a plus
Also preferred: Experience with Linux networking routing, bridging, switching and debugging tools and protocol sniffers
Also preferred: Experience with element manager frameworks - SNMP or WBEM/CIM based
Also preferred: Knowledge of ethernet OA&M standards
MS equivalent, PhD preferred in Computer Science
