Overview
We're seeking a truly brilliant individual to architect, build, deploy, and support (post-deployment) Acquia’s physical systems and network infrastructure. This candidate must have a deep understanding of different platforms (i.e. Unix, Linux, Windows) and system software such as backup software, monitoring software, patch management, software deployment, etc. Candidates with commercial Java development experience will have an edge, since such individuals can work alongside our SOA infrastructure engineer to translate our technical capabilities into highly-reliable Acquia Network Services.
Responsibilities
3-5 years systems engineering experience
3+ years Linux / Unix systems experience
3+ years IP network management experience
Demonstrable experience in building scalable, high-availability network services
Strong experience in network and systems' security
Experience with scaling all layers of the LAMP stack
Experience with using flexible web services such as Amazon EC2 and S3
Experience with Xen/VMWare
Programming and scripting experience
Education
BS/MS CS degree or computer-related field
