A new women’s online entertainment site and community is seeking an ambitious sales and marketing executive with a strong client and agency rolodex to develop and grow our banner and video ad sales business.
This self-motivated individual will be responsible for generating revenue by negotiating a broad range of advertising deals and cultivating deep relationships with people at both senior and tactical levels of Fortune 500 companies and ad agencies. The ideal candidate will have three years sales experience, with a strong knowledge of online business practices. Candidates must feel comfortable prospecting, cold-calling and negotiating in person and via phone in addition to identifying, developing and managing a valuable prospect list based on our product offerings. This may be an excellent opportunity for the right sales/marketing professional who already has a full-time position and excellent time management skills to turn their existing network of contacts in a complimentary industry into earn extra income.
2 years relevant on-line advertising sales experience
Demonstrated ability to consistently close sales and generate revenues
Strong track record of high level negotiation and successful internal and external relationship management
Strong analytical abilities
Ability to interact with a broad set of businesses and presenting both over the phone and in person
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
Developing and Managing a valuable prospect list
This is a part-time (30%) commission only position in 2009 that will become a full salaried position by the first quarter of 2010.
