DIRECTOR OF ONLINE MEDIA , essentially chief planner and buyer, to lead our interactive media team.
The Director of Online Marketing creates measures, analyzes and optimizes online marketing programs, and manages internal partners and external agencies to achieve marketing goals. Reporting to the CMO, the Director will collaborate with Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, Creative, Sales, PR and other functions to create and deploy highly effective online marketing programs, including online ads, social networking programs, viral campaigns, email campaigns, blog ads, online contests and promotions and more. This position is both creative and analytical in nature. To be successful, you will have very strong written and verbal communication skills and a passion for driving traffic and winning new customers. You will play a key role in identifying, developing and implementing awareness and acquisition strategies to grow our business..
Design, implement and manage online marketing programs to acquire customers
Develop online media plans and manage the execution of media buys
Negotiate, purchase and optimize online media and perform campaign analysis
Manage weekly and monthly reporting, optimization and tracking
Develop and manage metrics and budgets.
Analyze and report program performance; provide results and recommendations for improvement
Develop and execute highly effective direct response programs to significantly increase inbound site traffic.
Effectively manage outside partnerships to maximize ROI .
Leverage a "test, measure and refine" approach to constantly improve program results
Increase the impact of online marketing on revenue and profitability.
Propose new marketing ideas and then secure support from internal and external stakeholders to fund and execute these programs.
Assist in developing ad copy, landing pages, banner creative and other marketing collateral.
Advise on changes to the website and other online projects.
Provide support for other areas of marketing as needed.
Strong knowledge of media planning and buying strategy/tactics
Minimum 3 years experience in online media planning
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
Strong communication, project management and time management skills
Detail oriented with excellent computer skills
Understanding of research tools such as @plan, Media Metrix, etc
Proficiency with 3rd party ad serving (e.g DoubleClick DFA or Atlas DMT)
Ability to manage and complete multiple simultaneous tasks and projects
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Verifiable track record of media planning, negotiating and buying
