Overview
We are looking for a reliable and skilled open source coder and PHP developer to pick up where our digital agency partners left off, helping us build out Phase II of our site which is set to officially launch in July 2009. Phase II features include a custom application, addition of new Web 3.0 social networking features, integration with open-sourced platforms, development of an iPhone application and database design and implementation. You’re super pumped to take on a senior role in a dynamic bootstrapped start-up, working hand-in-glove with the co-founders of our company to execute on our shared vision.
Responsibilities
Responds to e-mails, texts, voicemails, tweets, smoke signals on a moment’s notice
Understands underspecified requirements
Designs clean, secure and efficient solutions, implementing those solutions quickly
Tests, debugs, maintains and enhances that implementation
Has the vision to make this company a home run and is able to articulate that vision to co-founders, partners and investors
Experience
Expertise in developing on LAMP and building advanced custom applications
Demonstrable project management experience
Facebook platform experience big+
Widget development experience (esp for online advertising space) big+
Experience with Flash, ActionScript, Flex big+
iPhone app experience big+
Experience with Open-Souce imaging libraries
Skills
JavaScript/DOM/AJAX
HTML/XHTML/CSS
Strong DB skills
Education
Hands-on experience is what we're looking for, but great if you have a computer science or engineering education
