As a member of the VCE application solutions engineering team, the candidate will be responsible for architecting Oracle E-Business Suite solutions on a Vblock. The Oracle E-Business Suite SME with experience designing and implementing data warehousing applications will support sales and technical specialists associated with Vblock solutions and has a thorough understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite Applications, Oracle Database, tools and designs.
Configure, test and implement configurable components of Oracle E-Business Suite and Fusion Middleware, Service Oriented Architecture and Self-Service Framework guidelines.
Build and conduct infrastructure proof-of-concept tests for customers on a Vblock.
Provide content for technical white papers and best practice documents.
Interact with database and Vblock platform engineers to evaluate business and technical opportunities for joint development.
Work closely with marketing and product management organizations on the development of related field material.
Enjoy hands-on system experience: building of systems, infrastructure, operating systems and test environments.
Understands the sales process, its information and support requirements, and assists business developers in identifying or qualifying leads.
10+ years in providing deep level expertise of Oracle E-Business Suite modules and Oracle Fusion Middleware in building large scale Oracle E-Business applications; 4+ years of experience implementing interfaces, conversions or extensions and reports for a variety of business modules.
10+ years in troubleshooting technical issues; work with Oracle Support to resolve Service Requests.
Performed system analysis for projects of major scope and various complexities to provide a means for solving technical and business-related problems/challenges.
4+ years of direct experience working with Java, JDeveloper, PL/SQL, Workflow, API, shell scripting.
4+ years in working with industry accepted project management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices throughout the project life cycle.
Good understanding of server virtualization and 5+ years of experience supporting highly virtualized Oracle E-business platforms.
5+ years hands on experience of database administration of Oracle, SQL or other databases.
Experience developing and documenting application program logic and syntax from project design specifications or models.
Facilitated and coordinated end user acceptance testing, change management, issue management, problem escalation and resolution.
Ability to acquire and maintain system and business knowledge needed to support direct users and other internal technical teams.
Deep understanding of tuning applications for OLTP and OLAP.
Experience with benchmarking and sizing using industry standard metrics.
Knowledge of the I/O subsystem and memory management of Windows or Unix operating system.
Database administration experience with one or more databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2 LUW database).
Strong technical presentation preparation and delivery skills
Additional skills and experience with the following are a big plus:
Operational understanding of with at least one EMC storage platform (Symmetrix, Celerra and CLARiiON), storage management and business continuance software.
Understanding of server (UCS, HP, DELL etc) and network (Cisco, Juniper) infrastructure.
Candidates should possess a BSCS or MSCS and 10+ years of Experience.
