Using a patent pending technology platform that analyzes the true health of a business based on their cash flow rather than their credit score. The Business Credit Advocate role is the foundational role in our new, outside sales organization. In this position, the Business Credit Advocate will be consulting with and selling to local business owners and decision makers at small businesses. These target entrepreneurs will benefit greatly from the financial information and performance management metrics that are available to them through platform membership with On Deck Capital. Additionally, our BCAs will lead our credit growth through effectively identifying capital needs and marketing On Deck’s credit products to small business owners. The BCA will be prospecting and closing new business opportunities utilizing various sales techniques (cold calls, webinars, networking, building referral sources, phone calls, etc) to build sales and contribute to On Deck Capital’s growth by driving revenue through new and expanded credit relationships.
Successful BCAs will have an “evangelical” approach to consultative sales and a genuine passion for working with small business owners. Through On Deck Capital’s training, the BCA will develop a comprehensive understanding of On Deck Capital’s products, processes and capabilities. Experience Requirements and Success Factors:
3 or more years of sales and marketing experience – intense sales call environment, outside sales experience required. Experience with selling technology a benefit.
Passionate sales professional who excels in a culture with a high level of accountability. Takes initiative and has a strong desire to win.
Basic background in accounting and finance – comfortable with small business financial statements (some training will be provided).
Earned four year college degree.
Enjoys traveling locally and is energized by meeting new people.
Curious and open to new experiences. Flexible and adapts well to changing business environment.
Works independently and is comfortable in unstructured environment. Can create structure in day to ensure all sales goal are met or exceeded.
Established in local community – strong local network would be beneficial for success.
Motivated by and comfortable with a compensation structure with significant commission sales component which is earned through tangible sales results
