PHP Developer for Extremely Awesome Interactive Agency

at 87AM in 321 W 44th Street   —   Mar 18, 2014   |
Overview
87AM is a 360° creative and interactive agency for film, TV, music, fashion, stage and talent. We develop and implement interactive, digital solutions and in general swoon for data just as much as beautiful ad copy and design. We have fun, work hard, and draw beautiful murals on our awesome white board walls.

87AM is looking for a Web Developer to build websites (and maintain some existing ones) for our vast array of clients, which include top names in the live arts and entertainment field. This developer should have a little something extra though. A certain flair for design, a creative streak that shows through in all their work. Someone that gets just as geeked about stunning design and sleek, intuitive user experiences as lines of code. We're all about innovation here; This developer should be too. This super-fly individual should also have 2+ years of PHP or other web development experience, and be able to write clean HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Perks include free DJ lessons (they're mandatory, actually) and your very own set of dry erase markers.
Responsibilities
Work with our design team to build sleek, functional websites
Build semantic markup that is extensible and maintainable
Maintain and update existing websites (WordPress & PHP)
Skills
PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and Javascript programming experience
Wordpress, Expression Engine, etc.
Wicked dance moves. Or a stellar sense of humor. Or both.
Making beautiful code, modern web standards, and great user experience design
Compensation
Hourly, DOE.
