Overview
CollegeHumor is seeking an ambitious, well-rounded PHP engineer. You need to think like a user, be passionate about coding and excited to build and iterate features that impact millions of people. You will work with our small talented team of developers on a number of large high profile websites which include: CollegeHumor, Bustedtees, TodaysBIGthing, SportsPickle and a few new sites in the works. Collectively our sites reach over 12 million users every month.

Responsibilities
Implement and iterate on new and existing features
Contribute to product design and implementation discussions
Not be afraid to get your hands dirty playing with framework level code
Profile / optimize code and queries for performance
Work closely with our engineering team to build and scale back-end services
Enjoy nerf gun fights
Experience
Experience working on a high volume website
Fluency in PHP 5 and the LAMP stack
MySQL with performance tuning and scalability
Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming
Expertise with MVC methodologies
Caching / Scaling (Memcached, APC, etc.)
Thorough understanding of HTML, Javascript, CSS and XML
Experience with SPL a major plus
e-commerce, credit card authorizations, and billing feature experience
Experience with Linux or Solaris a plus
jQuery or Prototype
Experience building scalable frameworks
A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies
