About the role
Lulu is looking for a US-based PR & Marketing Associate. The PR & Marketing Associate will report to the CEO and must have a passion for shaping the brand and expanding the reach of our exciting, new product, as we launch it across the U.S. in early 2013.
Increase brand awareness
Position Lulu in the market, targeting specific schools and key influencers with the right message and marketing activities
Plan and execute a social media campaign in conjunction with our full-time writer
Activate the blogger community in conjunction with our full-time writer
Engage with, pitch and manage North American PR opportunities
Manage external agency relationships
Plan and execute the online marketing activities, including SEO, PPC, email, affiliates
Implement marketing best practice
Demonstrated expertise in marketing to the college community
Demonstrated social media experience, especially with regard to acquiring followers on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram
Demonstrated expertise in experimental marketing on the ground
Strong brand experience: have grown or revitalized a brand with significant increase in consumer awareness
Strong online social marketing experience (PPC, SEO, email, affiliates, partnerships)
Familiarity with start-up life and pace
Have a deep understanding of the North American market
Be an expert in the social and online habits of women aged 13-25
Have a passion for social media
Be deeply familiar with media outlets popular among women aged 13-25
Be familiar with the US college and sorority scene
Be strategic as well as hands-on
Be detail-oriented and metric- and results-driven
Be entrepreneurial, proactive, and a self-starting multi-tasker
Be able to communicate ideas with clarity, inspiration and passion to a wide audience
