Overview
We are an early stage startup based in the DFW area. We are solving the biggest problem the marketing world is facing today. There are more than 600,000 updates posted on Twitter every day that revolve around some kind of brand name. This number is forecasted to grow to 1 million and beyond. And this is just one social network! This is a problem that is emerging, but is already an estimated $3.1 billion market opportunity.
Our cutting-edge web application is designed to help PR firms and marketing organizations monitor the social web, manage any crisis that comes up and provide actionable analytics to help them effectively manage their social media campaigns. We are a highly energetic and experienced group of engineers, scientists and marketers.
You:
Must be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Must have an entrepreneurial spirit.
Must be passionate about creating software that allows customers be awesome at what they do.
Can telecommute for the most part but are required to be on-site at least two days a week.
Must be a citizen or green card holder and be able to work lawfully in the United States.

Responsibilities
Help develop our frontent/backend systems
Solve some interesting problems with data processing/integration, scalability, machine learning and more
Write high quality, well documented code
Follow our coding style guide
Experience
Experience with Django (or similar web framework)
Experience with jQuery (or similar JavaScript framework)
Experience with Subversion (or similar version control system)
Experience with popular web APIs a plus (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, GData, etc.)
Experience with Amazon EC2/S3 a plus
Experience with Hadoop/MapReduce/Pig a huge plus!
Skills
Strong Python skills
Strong web development skills (standards compliant XHTML/CSS)
Strong database design/modeling skills (in MySQL, Postgres or Oracle)
Education
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
Compensation
Negotiable. Depending on experience.
