The Partner Alliance Manager will be a key part of Basho’s Sales & Marketing team, playing an instrumental role in helping to build Basho into a database solutions-defining company. As part of the team, the Partner Alliance Manager will work to build, evangelize and deliver world-class database solutions, products, and services to Basho’s customers and partners. Alliance Managers develop strategic relationships with Basho’s partners and will own development of the partnering strategies and relationship development with their respective partner companies. Partner Alliance Managers will also align partner product integrations with Basho’s product directions. This may include delivering and coordinating roadmaps between Basho and our partners to ensure differentiation, technology adoption and enhancement with the partner’s technologies. The Partner Alliance Manager will work closely with the Sales and Professional Services teams to provide the necessary tools and guidance and create partnerships to increase revenue and achieve business and financial goals.
Identify and develop Basho’s partnering strategy, establishing strategic goals, priorities, and programs. Provide coverage for the direct sales force in support of Basho’s key strategic opportunities.
Play key role on large, complex data warehouse selling motions including proposal development, pricing strategy, capture strategy
Drive joint go-to-market activities. Working closely with Basho’s marketing and the partner’s marketing teams, design a variety of joint marketing programs: awareness, demand generation, field programs, channel programs, and leverage the partner’s programs to drive adoption of Basho’s products.
Identify and own licensing and/or distribution programs
Training and knowledge transfer for field and partners on sales initiatives and operational processes
Rollout corporate initiatives and partner program with sales organization in the region
Responsible for managing partner life cycle in designated region(s)
Identify and develop new solutions and sales models for designated region(s)
Conduct onsite Partner visits for training and program support
5+ years of experience in business development, technology alliances, product marketing or sales engineering experience with a principal focus in distributed databases
Knowledge of distributed database ecosystems and product lines
Effective relationship building skills and service orientation
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work autonomously
Able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
Business related bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
