This position will report to the VP Professional Services and lead professional service engagements, specifying and deploying cloud management solutions on behalf of DynamicOps and in partnership with our OEM/s. You will be accountable for engagement success including technical planning through acceptance, service revenues and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and an effective, consultative approach to solving and meeting customer needs. She/he will be a high-performing team oriented individual with a passion for technology and achievement.
Once a sales opportunity has matured to a Professional Service engagement, you will lead the scoping and definition phase. Eventually handing the signed Statement of Work to the custom engineering for development.
Interface with custom software engineering teams to ensure that the commitments are on schedule.
Be the primary Interface for the customer/partners into DynamicOps for the PS engagement.
Manage PS engagement according to the internal and industry standard process.
Prepare use cases/test scenarios for environmental validation.
Support Customization testing in Dynamic environments.
Work with clients to troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges.
Maintain a working knowledge of all DynamicOps applications as well as relevant 3rd party products.
Assist sales and business development initiatives, such as demos, presentations, trade shows
5+ years of system, network, or storage administration with experience in server virtualization preferably as a field applications engineer supporting sales to OEMs and end users
3+ Years experience with Virtualization Technologies; VMware, Hyper-V, and/or Xen Server
3+ years experience with Microsoft Server technologies including:
Microsoft Active Directory
Microsoft Server 2003 & 2008
Microsoft SQL Server / SQL Express
Knowledge of Linux Systems deployment
Experience with software APIs
Knowledge of computer and network security systems, technologies, and concepts
Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Ability to effectively troubleshoot problems to resolution in complex IT environments
Willingness to work extended hours when needed to meet objectives and tight deadlines
Ability to work within a team and provide the leadership for the PS engagement
Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to deliver high-quality deliverables.
Ability to manage and shift priorities quickly and effectively when needed.
Candidate should posses strong documentation skills
Ability to travel to customer locations with potential of >50% travel
Scripting and/or development experience a plus
Strong oral and written communications skills
