We are seeking a highly energetic design engineering intern to join our team in NYC this summer.

The Candidate:

You have a strong interest in and passion for photography. Product and lifestyle photography is your jam, and you want to learn everything you can from a team of amazing product photographers. You pride yourself on being nimble and quick in your work. Disorganization drives you crazy, and you love maintaining a clean studio space. You’re a go-getter, ready to take on any task to ensure a smooth photo shoot, whether you’re breaking down equipment or assisting photographers. You are eager to learn and are excited about being part of Quirky’s growing movement to make invention accessible. If this sounds like you, please read on.
The Job:
As our Photography Intern, you will
Be a member of Quirky’s storytelling team
Help execute weekly product launches
Assist on photo shoots
Shoot events around the office for social media
Be a part of a growing movement to make invention accessible
The Responsibilities:
Reliable photography assistant to make photo shoots go smoother and faster.
Keep track of studio maintenance and organization.
Constantly keep the studio clean, safe and clutter free.
Make runs around NYC to gather props for shoots.
Be able to assist on location and in studio on shoots (setup and breakdown equipment, assist photographers, digital tech).
The Qualifications:
1-3 years of photography experience
Knowledge of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
Ability to multi-task many projects at once
Interest in product and lifestyle photography
Working knowledge of lighting design
Working knowledge of how to work on set
Excellent troubleshooter and lateral problem solver
Unrelenting intellectual curiosity and pride in doing awesome work
An entrepreneurial spirit
Stellar written and verbal communication skills
Action and detail oriented
Passion for what we are building at Quirky
