Overview
GridMarkets is building a platform for institutions to supply their excess CPU capacity to other institutions with high computational needs using Cloud & Grid-computing technologies. As a Platform Operations analyst, you will be key in ensuring the smooth operations of GridMarkets services and work with engineering teams to drive bugs and product feature requests.
Responsibilities
Design and develop systems and tools to support day-to-day operations of platform
Perform benchmark and performance analysis of platform
Troubleshoot and assist clients and development teams in creating workarounds and solutions
Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with development teams, project managers and clients
Ability to work autonomously and meticulously with flexibility and drive
Experience in validation performed against logs, database and messages
Experience with scripting languages (shell, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
Good networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLAN, Firewalls, etc.) and troubleshooting thereof
Good understanding of Cloud/Grid computing technologies
Exposure to distributed/parallel/grid-computing technologies (BOINC, Condor, etc.) a bonus
Good working knowledge of Windows/Linux environments
Fluent in written and oral English
Education
Undergraduate or higher degree in computer science or related fields from a reputable university desirable, but NOT essential
Compensation
Negotiable with options/equity for the right candidate
