Platform Supply Analyst

Overview
Every day, AppNexus receives billions of ad requests from hundreds of thousands of domains. Stemming from browsers around the world, these requests arrive 24/7 to our globally distributed data centers.
As a Platform Supply Analyst (PSA), you will work within a group that ensures the safety, quality and liquidity of the AppNexus platform. You will be responsible for finding insights and answering questions related to these areas by digging into the terabytes of information that we log daily. Specifically, the PSA will work to find relevant data/trends and analyze it statistically to provide actionable conclusions. Driving issues through from their inception to resolution will be central to this role.
Examples of projects you could take on:
* Building models/tools that can proactively detect and thwart incidents of fraud will enhance the ability for our clients to run their businesses with full confidence on the AppNexus platform. This will increase platform revenue and further enhance our reputation.
* Developing. models that can predict changes in spend and market liquidity would help in identifying marketplace inefficiencies. This analysis can be used to drive the development of corrective product features.
* Analysis of data regarding the financial impact of auditing, yields on audited vs. non audited inventory and other metrics can lead to improvements in our auditing methodologies and increase buyer spend.
The ideal candidate has a love for digging into reams of data and is a natural problem solver. Manipulating raw data into a consumable form will also be central to the role. A self starter with excellent presentation and communication skills is a must. A familiarity with online media buying and selling, advertising technology solutions and exchanged based businesses models is a plus.

Skills
Strong Statistical Background
Experience in modeling behaviors on large data sets
1-3 years experience with statistical analysis tools: R, Python (NumPy, SciPy)
SQL Experience
Entrepreneurial focused mindset
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics or related technical discipline experience.
