Overview
Are you looking to be part of a small, fast-growing, entrepreneurial company that is building something really cool and good for our society? We are an innovative, online start-up in the local government and private facility management space. Our offices are located in Time Square, NYC and we're looking for a few great people to help build out our team!
The Web Designer will create designs for our website and applications. Must have experience working from functional specs and wireframes, familiarity with complex pages and applications, with a focus on usability. Please include examples of your work where you were the lead designer.

Responsibilities
Create designs of website pages, application screens, images, and graphics from specs, mockups and wireframes
Conceptualize and own a style that will represent our brand
Create visual collateral for marketing material, including product logos
Design simple, distinctive iconography for visually oriented products
Ability to output design formatted with HTML/CSS (optional)
Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in web design or related discipline
Minimum 1 year of professional experience in web design (optional)
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Interaction and information heavy application experience
Experience in layout and design of website pages, application screens, images, and graphics for websites and software applications
Ability to design simple, intuitive and distinctive iconography
Thorough understanding of typography
Firm knowledge of usability and accessibility issues
Understanding of kiosks and touch-screen interfaces preferred
Familiarity with the latest industry standards and a passion for great design
Ability to comfortably work in a start-up environment
