Product Intern

Amplify is seeking a bright and passionate current student or recent graduate to join Amplify Access as a Fall 2013 Product Intern. This is a paid role, designed for someone who is passionate about the intersection of education and mobile technology, and interested in learning about how products evolve from ideas and plans to commercial software.

The Product Intern will be a key member of the product development team, participating in key planning meetings, becoming intimately familiar with the Amplify Tablet product, and helping support research and ideation for new product areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn firsthand about mobile product development in the education technology space.

Conduct market research to assess current trends and developments in the industry
Work as a core member and collaborative contributor to one or more 2 to 8 person cross-functional agile development teams
Help shape the product and/or platform roadmap, define scope, participate in estimation efforts, and prioritize initiatives
Spend time with users gathering feedback and new requirements on product increments.
Assist research efforts with real or potential users
Interest in product development
Proven verbal and written communication skills
Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
An interest applying organization skills; creativity and objective-oriented focus toward a collaborative effort to produce a ground-breaking product
Pursuing a BA/BS or higher, or recent graduate
Proven knowledge of mobile technology and how it can integrate into business processes
