Overview

We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Product Manager to lead and revolutionize future releases of our Enterprise Career Management web applications. RiseSmart is the leader in technology-powered outplacement services, focusing on innovative and advanced technology to help companies going through reduction events give something back to their employees. Our proprietary platform enables a human-powered search infrastructure that allows us to hand-pick and tailor jobs to those in need while providing tools, to help accelerate the time to their next job.

We are looking for someone to join the Product Management team to drive the next evolution of our platform and future applications in the pipeline – think engineer meets UX designer. We're an HR technology & internet start-up that blends social media, semantic technology, career expertise and an innovative business process to provide a valuable service.
Responsibilities
Transform raw ideas into web application requirements for both external and internal platforms
Defining the use-cases for the workflows involved in the product
Bring together input and feedback from customers, operations, sales, and marketing teams into creating and authoring highly-detailed product requirements documents (PRD)
Participate as a hands-on resource in delivering all aspects of the product - from concept to working with UI designers and developers on implementation
Conducting functional and usability research in collaboration with customers and employees
Project-managing and staying in close contact with our international development office
Experience
Outstanding analytical and quantitative reasoning skills
An innate ability to quickly understand existing user flows and business processes – and design better ones
Gets excited about identifying corner-cases and documenting them in incredible detail
Loves whiteboards, flow charts and metrics; does not love PowerPoint
Startup experience
A high-level understanding of how web technologies and relational databases work
Willing to travel: < 10%
Extra credit for:
Experience with HR technologies
UI/UX and/or design experience
Experience writing HTML, CSS, JS, and/or SQL (not part of the job, but helpful to understand)
MBA or advanced degree
