Product Marketing Analyst

Overview
The Product Marketing Analyst is responsible for tracking key business metrics for online user behavior, marketing campaign performance and customer value. The ideal candidate will be someone who loves to use numbers to identify trends and make actionable recommendations. We’re looking for someone who is excited about solving consumer problems and wants to build something great.

This is a terrific opportunity to be part of a small, fast-moving team. As part of a small team, you’ll need to wear many hats, so flexibility and a can-do attitude are essential. In addition to being extremely analytical, you must be a creative thinker, a do-er, and nice person.

Experience in typical performance metrics of online consumer business is strongly preferred. Oh, and it helps if you are interested in travel.

This position reports to the co-founder and VP of Product.
Responsibilities
Identify and measure key performance metrics for website user behavior and marketing efficiency (user growth, online behavior, conversion, revenue, repeat rate, churn, etc.)
Develop and maintain complex models with data extracted from various database tables, as well as manually-entered data
Provide snapshot pictures of current trends and the state of the business
Update, enhance, and create reports and analyses
Perform ad hoc business analysis
Present analysis to Executive Team
Experience
At least 3 years prior business experience, preferably with an online consumer business
Familiarity with metrics for online consumer businesses (user acquisition, clickstream analysis, marketing efficiency, consumer lifecycle, etc.)
Previous experience with web analytics packages a plus (Omniture, Google Analytics, etc.)
Previous experience with business reporting tools a plus (Crystal, Birt, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to perform complex analysis
Ability to write SQL queries and build reports
Proficiency in Excel modeling
Excellent communication skills
Must be highly organized, even in a rapidly evolving environment
