The Project Manager - Challenges will manage a team that includes internal stakeholders, external partners and vendors. The right candidate will lead teams through all phases of development -- from R&D to design and through to product launch.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager – Learning:
Proactively organize and prioritize work of internal and external teams and manage relationships with partners and customers
Lead effective team collaboration meetings with team members at all levels of the organization with tact and diplomacy
Create and manage project plans and budgets and keep senior management apprised of project status, issues, risks and critical decisions at all times
Work with design, technology, and curriculum teams to track and communicate project status, issues, risks and decisions to colleagues, senior management and customers as needed
Manage vendor contracts, including timelines, communication, and routing through legal and stakeholders for approval
Working with team to identify copyright issues and communicate with legal regarding rights, potential licensing, or removal from product
Deliver projects on time and under budget, while maintaining delighted customers and a happy team
Basic Qualifications of the Project Manager – Learning:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
2+ years’ experience in role of project manager or producer
Proficient written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications of the Project Manager – Learning:
Proficient in the use of technologies like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
Demonstrated leadership capacity (teams of 5 or more in multi-disciplinary environments—e.g., technology, user experience, design)
Experience working in JIRA
Nimble, organized, self-starter, and excellent organizational capabilities
Experience with the systems development life cycle is preferred.
Comfort with middle school math
Knowledge of mobile and web technologies preferred
