About the Research & Publishing Team
Our world-class Research Team delivers thought leadership to companies like Bank of America, Boeing, Cisco Systems, HP, JetBlue, Kaiser Permanente, McDonald’s, Microsoft, Nike, Qualcomm, Starbucks, Target, UnitedHealth Group and Wal-Mart. Our thought leadership drives revenue in membership renewals and custom research. The team is fast-paced and thrives on learning and innovation in applying data analytics with compelling business writing and advice.
We currently produce more than 100 research reports annually, authored by 10 or more researchers and writers. Our reports are currently produced using professional desktop publishing tools and published for access in print and online. The reports are tagged and stored in an online accessible database that can be searched by our clients.
The Editorial & Publishing Manager will play a pivotal role for managing the quality, speed and workflow of our day-to-day publishing operations. This person will also drive our editorial style guidelines and assist in developing our rich media strategy, which includes publication of audio, video, and dynamic HTML versions of our research.
As Editorial & Publishing Manager, this role will manage the day-to-day operations of the publishing function, ensure consistent quality and adherence to our standards, and work with writers to get research published quickly and regularly.

Drive standards for writing, publishing and style guidelines.
Work with research and marketing to manage publishing calendar and establish key deadlines.
Manage workflow of assets in the editing/publishing cycle and develop streamlined processes for getting assets published quickly and predictably.
Manage contractor pool of graphics designers and editors, ensuring just-in-time availability of resources as needed.
Manage a small internal team including a production editor and graphic designer, who are responsible for:
Publishing multiple types of assets including case studies, research reports, presentations, webcasts and tools.
Managing a database of online reports.
Maintaining and evolving metadata requirements to improve searchability of content.
Provide feedback to analysts/writers to help them improve their writing.
Has 3-5 years of experience as a manager in web publishing
Proven business writing and editing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work cross-functionally and with a diverse set of remote individuals
Superior organizational and process skills; ability to manage a publishing schedule of 20-30 projects at a time with conflicting priorities
A team leader who can create a collaborative, team-based environment
Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing deadlines and always flexible in shifting tasks to meet deliverables
Comfortable with current digital environment, including blogs, tools, and wikis

Excellent Editing Skills - Has the ability to edit reports in length of 5 to 100 pages for accuracy, thoroughness, relevance, coherence of content and ideas; correct usage of words and terms, grammar, punctuation, and spelling; Clear, concise style that is cohesive and euphonious; appropriate tone and language for audience and purpose; cohesion through use of headings, format, and white space.
Web Publishing Management – Experience managing web publishing groups, including experience with tools, process, and design.
Web and Print Publishing Tools and Technologies - Familiarly with how different tools can be used to develop interactive, visually appealing content. Tools include graphics, page layout, web publishing and content management systems.
Web Design Skills – Ability to recognize and inspire well designed, easy-to-use web pages, and have experience with information architecture and web-based layout.

BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, Education, Learning or Communication.
Salary will depend on experience. Bersin & Associates provides medical, dental, vision, flexible spending plan, 401k plan with 25% employer match, 15 days of paid time off (vacation and sick), and 10 paid holidays.
