Kabam, formerly known as Watercooler Inc., is looking for a QA Lead to join our social gaming startup. We are 90-strong, well-funded (backed by top-tier VCs and the world’s largest gaming company), profitable and offer a competitive salary, equity participation and benefits.

WHAT YOU'll DO:

* Collaborate daily with your product team. You will be an integrated member of the team and working to ensure that quality is injected into each step of the development process
* Identify areas ideal for automation and work with QA Engineers to see your ideas through to fruition
* Recommend process improvement in both development and QA
* Create, implement and maintain test plans throughout the product life cycle
* Develop and maintain test cases for both manual and automated testing
* Oversee the execution and development of test cases by QA team
* Clearly communicate the health of your product to the team through status reports and in daily stand ups
* Ensure the product team is aware of defects that need to be addressed and maintain an in depth understanding of the issues in the bug database
* Develop and maintain metrics to help with go/no go decisions for product release
* Own the bug database for your project
* Be the go to person for info on how the game works
* Make suggestions and metrics for balance and game play improvement

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for individuals who have a strong understanding of QA methodology, leadership skills, game design, and have a desire to help mold the growth of the QA department. The ideal candidate will have:
* A love for all things games: Video games, board games, sports, brain teasers ...
* 6+ Years of experience in Quality Assurance in Software or Web Technologies
* 2+ Years of experience managing direct reports in Quality Assurance (QA Lead/Manager)
* BS/MS in CS desired
* Experience writing test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and doing risk analysis prior to product releases
* Proven ability to work in all phases of the product life cycle
* Ability to direct a team and a passion for managing direct reports careers
* Exceptional communication skills; verbal and written
* Comfortable working with either Windows or Mac OS and all browsers
* Understanding of internet technology desired (HTML, PHP, CSS, Flash, MySQL, etc.)
* Familiarity working with at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Selenium, Java, Flash, C++, etc.)
* Previous experience working with Xbox TCRs, Sony TRCs or Facebook Terms of Service very desirable
* Release process knowledge and skills are a huge plus
* Automation experience highly sought
* Localization experience a plus
