You have a meticulous attention to detail coupled with amazing communication skills, and are looking to join a small yet growing startup to help them make sure all product updates are executed flawlessly! You may have done some manual Quality Assurance testing before, or might have a background as a technical writer, but are looking for a new opportunity to contribute in a fun and collaborative environment. This position is a dual QA and Product Specialist role, where you’ll be coordinating and completing the manual testing of critical issues to ensure they are fixed, patched and the people affected are notified and happy, as well as managing documentation and contributing to the larger success of the product team as a whole.

Engineers add and fix software all the time, and you will need to make sure that these improvements don’t introduce any new problems. You will become intimately knowledgeable with our software tools and platforms, and with each new elegant engineering build, you’ll ensure everything continues to function flawlessly.

Performing and updating manual regression testing cases so anyone can go through them (regression testing uncovers new bugs that crop up in existing software after new features or patches are made).
Reviewing, reproducing, documenting, prioritizing, and escalating bug fixes.
Coordinating with departments to explain releases and features, and to gather performance and bug information.
Maintaining accurate documentation using support cases in CRM, defects, and knowledge bases.
Working closely with the product and engineering teams on documentation
Being the go-to contact for questions from other Spongers related to our product!
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of work experience, preferably in the tech or advertising industry
Ideally, you know about the software release process, maybe have even tested web apps before
Very tech savvy
Extremely detail oriented
Great at communicating with multiple groups (all with different personalities!)
