Catchpoint is looking for a Mid-Level Test Engineer to join our QA Automation Team. We want to enhance our current Test infrastructure to support additional platforms and test procedures.

The team works cross-product to create automated tests, and does manual testing of new features or non-automated areas. The Test Engineer will test our UI and expand to other applications/services as they obtain knowledge of our system.
Responsibilities
Offer innovative approaches and ideas for testing our products (web, mobile, services..)
Understand the inner workings of our system in order to produce in-depth testing.
Build test plans from informal specifications given by lead developer
Unit/functional/behavioral/integration test creation as well as manual testing.
Conduct functional and manual testing of new features, bug fixes, existing functionality, and usability
Assist in the replication and follow-up of issues reported from customers and end-users
Diagnose, report, track and resolve quality issues timely and efficiently
Assist with deployments/production support
Take ownership of the QA servers/environment including testing Database scripts and test data.
Dive into the application code to find implementation details or troubleshoot
Documentation and training of others
Work in a fast-paced agile environment, able to handle multiple projects with changing priorities and expectations
Research testing frameworks or technology that could improve testing procedures.
Track progress of the testing project, work done, work to go, testing completed, testing to go
Analyze the performance test results and compile a summary report
Review team member code and test plan
Experience
3+ years in unit/functional/behavioral testing on Windows (Linux and Mobile is a plus)
3+ years of programming in C#, C++, or Java
1+ year utilizing Selenium Webdriver
1+ year utilizing MSTest (Windows .Net test suite) or NUnit
Expertise in object-oriented test design using open source tools (eg. Selenium, Chrome developer tools).
Experience with continuous automation (CruiseControl)
Experience with virtualization technologies (we use: VirtualBox, Hyper-V, VM)
Experience monitoring network, memory, disc, and processor.
Experience with Java Script, CSS, HTML, HTTP, session cookies and web frameworks like JQuery
Proficient in testing web applications across various browsers and in conjunction with various browser diagnostic tools.
Experience with load testing tools

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to research and solve problems independently and quickly.

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, Software Design Patterns with good coding disciples and SDLC
Desire to learn and leverage exciting new tools and techniques in order to test better, faster, stronger
Education
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related major
