It’s not just testing, it’s working on groundbreaking technology that both your friends and family will love! The QA Tester will be responsible for hands-on testing on a variety of mobile platforms: iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Android - which means the latest and greatest tech everyday. Additionally, the QA Tester will handle ad hoc testing for application content, web apps, and various widgets and gadgets that go along with the Geodelic Product Suite.
Participate in all technical aspects of the projects: reviewing/defining specifications, requirements, designs, integration, implementation and testing.
Create comprehensive test plans and test cases and keep the bug tracking system up-to-date and organized.
Manage compliance with 3rd party requirements, application submission guidelines, and verify API calls are being handled correctly.
Work with a team of highly motivated QA Testers
Execute test cases on alpha, beta, and release candidate builds - giving the final say in whether or not the build meets Geodelic Quality expectations.
Innovate on our existing testing methods and increase efficiency.
Mentor other team members
At least three years of mobile, or related, quality testing experience.
Experience in troubleshooting, characterizing, and describing defects
Excellent written communication skills and the ability to clearly define bugs and educate the product team on the replication steps.
Prior experience representing the QA team in daily stand-up calls and bi-weekly SCRUM events.
Past experience in testing methodology.
Understanding of Apple & Microsoft, and strong skills surrounding the various mobile devices listed above.
Extremely detail oriented
Apple Computer skills preferred, with understanding of excel and building spreadsheets.
The ability to repeat the same task over and over until the problem can be replicated.
A bachelor’s in Computer Science, from a 4-year university, related discipline or equivalent work experience required
