Quality Assurance Intern

Rukkus is a funded start-up that is focused on something we all know and love, music! Our staff of highly talented individuals is changing the way fans go about finding great concerts.

We are looking for an individual who has a deep interest in QA and a strong desire to gain work experience in the field. We have a massive database of artists, events, venues and ticket data that is always changing and needs to be properly tagged and mapped. This individual will have the opportunity to work directly with our Senior Developer and QA Test Engineer.

The ideal candidate is in the NYC area, has some QA experience and meets the skills and experience requirements listed below.

- Required: CV and/or a brief bio
- Required: specific examples of QA projects you have worked on
- Bonus Information: a short blurb on your favorite music (genre’s, bands, etc)
Ensure that the music, event, and ticket data on the platform is being correctly tagged and mapped
Use attention to detail to identify new issues and use ingenuity to propose solutions to address these issues
Ideal candidate has worked on specific QA projects, has knowledge of SQL and can code in PHP or other web development languages.
Strong knowledge of SQL
Ability to write queries implementing several joins
Ability to code in PHP or other web development languages
Strong communication skills
- College graduate or currently pursuing a college degree
Experience + college credit if applicable
