We need a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst who is willing to learn fast, raise the quality bar for many different teams of developers working on accelerated schedules, and who can maintain a sense of humor under pressure. We focus on the quality of our products by both testing and influencing the development processes. This would include building test frameworks, driving the invention and adoption of tools, and advanced test methodologies.
Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst:
Be a part of a team that will create web based and native (iOS and Android) (some Unity based) applications for education.
Be responsible for reviewing requirements for product or product-features
Identify risks and escalate when appropriate
Co-ordinate across other teams to ensure the quality and delivery of the entire product.
Basic Qualifications of the Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
2+ years’ experience testing software (manual and/or automation)
1+ years’ experience with industry standard test automation tools (ideally Selenium and/or Cucumber but if you have worked with PushToTest, JMeter, SoapUI or QTP that’s fine as well but if you haven’t worked with any of these tools, but can read and/or write Java that will also work)
Preferred Qualifications of the Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst:
Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
Proven experience in Agile environments
Proven experienced in interacting and coordinating test activities amongst multiple teams in multiple locations
Good oral and written communication skills
Skilled in risk assessment and impact analysis for software applications
Proven experience testing HTML5 (web and/or mobile) applications.
Proven experience testing native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android)
Any testing Unity applications is a plus but not required
Proven experience with open source automation tools is a plus, ideally Selenium but, if you have worked with PushToTest, JMeter, SoapUI or QTP that’s fine as well. However, if you haven’t worked with any of these tools, but can read and/or write Java that will also work.
Games testing and tuning experience a plus but not required
Proven experience testing sites and/or apps (web or mobile) built on top of a Linux based OS is a plus
