You’ll be interacting with many areas of the company including Sales, Operations, R&D, HR, and Legal, as well as management at all levels. The Finance group’s responsibilities continue to grow geometrically due to the rapid growth of the business, providing significant opportunities for its members. It measures and reports the drivers for revenue and cost, compiles, journalizes and reports on the Company’s financial statements, devises the firm’s tax strategy, designs its capital structure, manages treasury and foreign exchange transactions, conducts financial planning and analysis through advanced use of statistical and data-mining techniques, evaluates mergers and acquisitions, and assists with a variety of other special projects as needed by the business.
Identify capacity drivers and resource constraints for the large-scale server clusters running different software applications; Update and refine the capacity model
Work with Engineering team to continue developing metrics to allocate Cost of Goods Sold (technology infrastructure costs) to customers and activities; Analyze and closely monitor customer-level profitability
Analyze the seasonality of the business and apply the result in capacity planning as well as in revenue forecasting
Develop key performance metrics that reflect the state of the business for use by management and investors
Working closely with programmers, automate the collection of key metrics and system performance data. Create and automate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and dashboards used by management, the board, and for general status updates to the company.
Masters or Ph.D degree in operations research, statistics , electrical engineering, computer science, economics, applied math, quantitative finance, or physics
Efficient with at least one data processing language such as Python, R, or Matlab
Understanding of computer systems (scheduling, networking, data warehousing, file system, and algorithms) is a big plus
Skilled at presenting data clearly and intuitively. Capable of explaining and defending your analysis
