Rails Developer

We are BlueFusion -- a mission-driven startup dedicated to the belief that the connections between people are what drive us to move beyond ourselves and engage with causes. We give political organizations and nonprofits the ability to understand the connections between people and the toolset to utilize those connections and build groundbreaking campaigns around them. 
You are a talented, socially-conscious programmer looking for a rigorous project with tangible civic returns.  You could write SQL in your sleep, but you are kept awake at night thinking about how to direct your skills towards a more meaningful impact.

Working with us you'll be writing code that catalyzes action, funds research, wins elections, and reforms laws. You'll join a team of dedicated social entrepreneurs working with some of the nation's leading civic-minded organizations. We can change the world, and it starts this fall with beta clients in Colorado and Connecticut.
Help drive core technical decisions
Lead on the design and implementation of core feature sets
Administer our code base and manage development team
Integrate 3rd party services
Ruby on Rails application development
jQuery and related frameworks
3+ years experience developing applications of scale
Bonus: experience developing html5 based mobile applications
Bonus: experience with database administration and scaling
4-year Degree
