Regional Sales Director (NY,Chicago or LA)

Overview
Function(x) is seeking seasoned sales executive(s) to be the company’s first key regional sales hires to assist Head of Media Sales in developing marketer value proposition and corresponding sales collateral, recruitment of regional sales staff and evangelizing the company’s offerings in client/agency marketplace. In addition, you will work very closely with the Business Development team to source and close strategic launch deals with key advertising partners.
Responsibilities
Drive revenue by working with top 200 marketers in building advertising solutions leveraging the Function (x) platform
Work directly with Head of Media Sales and Executive Team to develop the Function (x) sales offering
Work directly with Head of Media Sales to recruit, hire and onboard regional sales team
Work with Business Development and Product team to cut strategic deals to support core consumer value proposition
Evangelize Function(x) advertising proposition in advertising marketplace
Responsible for prospecting, proposal writing, negotiating, and closing both brands and advertising agencies and third party advertising networks
Achieve/exceed quarterly and annual revenue quotas
Develop and manage client relationships throughout the sales cycle
Coordinate with other team members regarding providing custom solutions for clients
Manage sales opportunities and pipeline
Experience
Highly skilled in the consultative sales approach, vibrant presentation skills and a mastery of media sales and processes
Background will include a deep understanding of and relationships with clients and digital advertising agencies
Knowledge of online ad selling, behavioral targeting and optimization strategies, including CPA/CPC/CPM
Mobile Ad Sales experience required.
A deep understanding of planning and measurement is a plus
Excellent closing skills, must be a hunter and a closer
Entrepreneurial, creative, very smart, focused, aggressive and flexible
Highly personable and excels at building long term relationships
Self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently
Ability to succeed as a key member of a driven team
Bachelors Degree in Business or related degree is required
