RadioFlag is the first social radio community of its kind, that connects you with Live Radio DJ's, Music Artists and Fellow Listeners, where you discover and interact around the best shows on AM/FM, Internet, Community, Indie, College and Free Form Radio around the Globe. The app is available for iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Windows Mobile.
Here interactive - real live DJs behind a turntable take your requests, and help you discover new artists and music in ways computer algorithms and “pushing play” offered by podcast and playlist services - just can’t match. Enjoy Talk Radio? RadioFlag’s shows have Radio Hosts behind the mic brave enough to address the topics and stories mainstream radio avoids. These talk hosts request listener opinion live via RadioFlag, and will even shift direction based on your feedback.
RadioFlag uses its social media platforms, and the latest streaming and mobile technologies, to introduce Radio to a New Generation of Listeners the way it was meant to be heard. Our service is totally FREE to users, who tune in from 152 different countries. Our loyal base includes Djs from top music trendsetting / award winning College Radio stations, being that we launched last year on the Campus of UC Irvine. “The First Electronic Social Media”, Live Radio, is re-emerging for a comeback, as we continue to create products aimed towards 'Real Radio’ evolution. Responsibilities
Ability to work collaboratively as well as on your own, as the project requires
Create documentation and reports for code you produce
Play an integral role in maintaining and improving performance and evolution of RadioFlag products
Experience
Strong programming skills---already published apps is a strong plus,
Skills
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Firm understanding in CS fundamentals of data structures and algorithm design; trees, arrays, queues, and stacks, Proficiency in at least one: C, C++, C#, or Java, Working towards a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Strong programming skills---already published apps is a strong plus, Responsive and timely communication skills, Drive and passion to pickup a white hot technology quickly, Must enjoy a music-centric, highly creative and success driven environment, and a Complimentary mindset that will work synergistically with our established team.
APP PLATFORMS:
Engineers will work on 1 or more of the following platforms. Experience in the following languages is desired according to platform.
WEB App : HTML, CSS, JavaScript, GAE, Python, PHP, MySQL, AJAX, JQuery.
iPHONE App: experience : iPhone SDK, Objective-C, Xcode, iPad applications experience, Model View Controller.
ANDROID App :
Android SDK, Android tools (adb, Monkey, DDMS, Eclipse IDE), Android app. components and widgets, tablet application experience.
WINDOWS7 App:
Windows 7 mobile or desktop applications, Visual Studio, tablet applications exp., HTML5.
BLACKBERRY App:
BlackBerry SDK and Java ME, Eclipse IDE, BlackBerry Push Service.
Education
Working towards a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Compensation
Internships /Mentorships are unpaid at this time. Equity Compensation will be offered to standout contributing engineers.
