Pushpins – a venture-backed next generation mobile coupon company is looking for rockstar PHP & Java Developers! We are a fun and engaging mobile shopping game with real savings that was featured by Mashable as a “Huge Trend in Social Media.” We will be launching in 1,500 stores and to 30MM households in the coming months.

Responsibilities
Develop robust web applications and services with standard development tools
Help set up and maintain development, test and production environments
Implement APIs and database schemas for new components
Scale web services to support a growing customer base
Apply industry best-practice software standards and technology to complex business problems
Collaborate cross functionally to provide technical solutions to business needs
Maintain clear documentation of processes and communicate task progress
Experience
Strong practical knowledge of PHP and Java
Minimal 3+ years of professional programming experience developing PHP applications
Knowledge and experience with MySQL, MSSQL, and/or Oracle databases
Significant experience with web service requests (JSON, SOAP, etc.)
Knowledge in system design around scalability is highly desirable
Extensive experience with error handling. Our environment relies on many external data deeds and we need to continually improve our error handling mechanisms.
Experience with large Java applications, coding for Android, Objective C, and familiarity XML parsing on mobile devices a bonus
Education
• BS/BA Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
