Overview
We are currently looking to hire a full-time programmer with strong skills in Ruby and Cocoa. (Note: we do not do a lot of rails at the moment, but instead are focused more on a primary Ruby application wrapped around a Postgres Database that we deploy in video environments).
Responsibilities
Maintaining our code base
Building additional functionality as client requests come in
ptimizing current scripts to be more DRY and efficient
Managing additional programmers on an as needed basis for larger projects
Experience
3 years+ programming with Ruby (not just ROR)
3 years+ programming with Cocoa
1 years+ programming with Rails
Skills
Ruby
Cocoa
Rails
iPhone and iPad development a huge plus
XSAN experience a huge plus
Familiarity with Final Cut Server a huge plus
Familiarity with Avid and Avid Interplay a huge plus
Education
Know your stuff, and be able to speak the language. The owner of the company who will do interviews knows enough programming to know if you know what your talking about. Come prepared to dissect some code and/or show off some code that you've developed.
Compensation
Negotiable based on past experience. This is a full-time position, benefits after 90 days.
