Ruby on Rails Developer

As a Ruby on Rails Developer, you must have experience in developing web applications using Ruby on Rails. The job will consist of 80% refactoring of legacy code and 20% building new features.
Refactor all current code and split it into "app" layer and "web ui" layer.
Start and finish "Characterisation" tests to have an automatic test suite which would allow to check if the "app layer" implementation still results in the same functionality.
Expose "app" layer via web services.
Develops custom solutions and applications in Ruby on Rails.
Identifies, assess and rig new technologies.
Demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, code comments and clear code
Strong RoR background (Rails 2.3 and 3)
Strong PostgreSQL experience.
Working knowledge of postgresql 9.2, triggers, stored procedures, constraints
OOP history
Unix/Linux experience
Experience with legacy ruby/rails/javascript code
Prototype and JQuery
Comfortable with SVN or git
Completion of Ruby ODesk test 2.3
Motivated, super smart, self starter and quick learner
Contributive thinker
Proficient in English, written and spoken
Keen to be part of a rapidly growing global company
Possesses a “do whatever it takes” attitude
Keen to creatively solve problems
