Ruby on Rails Engineer

at Zendesk in San Francisco, CA   —   Jul 11, 2014   |
At Zendesk, we strongly believe that to build a great product you have to have great people. We enjoy working with other smart focused people who care about both the product and the code they write. We value collaboration and test driven development and release frequently. We like and use agile processes and believe that pragmatism always triumphs over dogmatism. We all own the product and enjoy the impact we have improving it. We give back to the community and have released several open source projects including a captcha library for Ruby. We are growing rapidly based on word of mouth referral and have more than 5000 paying customers today including Twitter, Lonely Planet, SAP and Rackspace. Join us and help us reinvent how companies engage with their customers!
We’re looking for a talented product engineer to help us take Zendesk to the next level in terms of features and functionality.
You will be part of a great team with the glorious mission of building an unparalleled customer service application. You have a knack for finding creative solutions to challenging problems. Your attention to detail and quality is excellent and above all you enjoy being an integral part of a team effort.
You have significant Ruby on Rails experience and you are passionate about web application development – preferably you have one or more open source projects to document this.
Whether you tend to gravitate towards front-end or back-end development, we have the challenges to make you tick.
Other than being an excellent Ruby on Rails developer, you believe in agile development and you’re confident in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Git, OS X, Linux and MySQL.
