Overview
Mixbook (www.mixbook.com) is a well-funded San Jose, CA startup that has grown to over 1 million users (and 1.5 million Mixbooks created) with a team of only 4 employees. The growth is accelerating, and we are hiring a Ruby on Rails developer to own the entire back end for Mixbook.com and Mixbook’s upcoming developer platform APIs. This position will be tough, yet extremely rewarding. You will own the entire back-end development of a platform used by millions of people.
Responsibilities
Architect and build the Mixbook Platform – API Specification and Implementation
Own Mixbook’s services architecture – work directly with the co-author of RubyAMF.
Database architecture and scalability.
Deployment for Mixbook.com and various social networking applications.

Skills
VERY STRONG Experience with Ruby on Rails, Apache, and MySQL.
Strong object-oriented development skills.
Knowledge of EC2, S3, and new server technologies.
Education
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent required, masters is a plus.
