Overview
LiveOut is the UK's Fastest Growing Student Property Portal, which was founded in 2006. We're looking for a creative programmer to join the team as Chief Architect, in a full-time position. We are passionate about developing the UK's most powerful and simple property portal.
Responsibilities
Developing automatic database feeds
Creating a web crawler
Developing new additional site features
Developing a range of applications to expand our service offering
Experience
Experience with Ruby
Experience with CSS/(X)HTML, and knowledge of browser quirks
Skills
Fluency in JavaScript (AJAX)
Database design skills / PostgreSQL
Appreciation for simple and elegant HTML code
Solid knowledge of modern web page layout and templates
Possible Extras:
Knowledge of Facebook Aplications and login system
Understanding of XML
Experience developing APIs and platforms
Interests in data visualization and information architecture
