STiKS, a company dedicated to helping fund charities and worthy causes, through gaming, is looking for a User Experience professional to lead the team in creative design and user experience. We are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial team member to add to our fun start-up, leading a gaming revolution for good.
We deal with celebrities, charities and gamers to help run marathons and tournaments in their favorite games for charity. We are in the midst of a re-brand and re-launch after a successful first beta site test last year. Looking for someone passionate to come on board and help create the face and flow of our new platform.
Identify and create user models/personae using participatory and iterative design techniques including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing and other forms of requirements discovery.
Developing high-level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate user interaction and design ideas.
Assessing the usability of new and existing products in order to define constructive changes and improvements.
Managing the design process, drive decisions, track issues and estimate resource schedules and requirements.
Work closely with the engineering and development teams to support design requirements and ensure that they are implemented properly.
Creative design. To include, but not limited to; branding, logos, electronic media, print media, color schemes.
Deep knowledge of UX concepts and a demonstrate .
Ability to execute studies and use feedback to mold site flow.
Extensive design portfolio.
Strong conceptual skills, including online software/experience concepts.
5+ years experience in UX, interaction, and visual design for consumer web and mobile products.
2+ years experience leading UX and visual design from concept to market launch for a successful web/mobile product.
Experience in social gaming, behavioral change, and software as a service products a plus.
A desire to learn and teach.
Self-starter with strong communication skills.
Love of games and gaming (Social/Console/PC).
Familiar with the concept of gamification
UI experience. (Short-term need)
Minimum BA/BS in design related field or a strong portfolio of relevant experience.
Equity and stock package initially. Salary will be added end of fall 2013.
