SEO/Search Director – Organic Search Marketing (SEO)
The SEO Director will provide team leadership and a passion for the discipline of organic search with a desire for operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in organic strategies, processes, and analytics while meeting/exceeding company goals and campaign KPIs. This individual will lead a small team of organic Search specialists, writers, Social Media specialist and syndication managers in the daily execution of search engine optimization (SEO) strategy and execution. This position will also drive and influence related product development, widget creation and mobile marketing. The SEO Director will report directly to the President.
Responsibilities
Participate in team innovation meetings with creative input & task ownership
Contribute to the development of new product offerings and practice innovations
Actively contribute to corporate initiatives, automation projects, process changes and roll-outs
Stay current with industry trends, best practices and discusses potential impact with team on client work
Create POVs, best practices and assist in developing key process documentation
Manage team in achieving all performance KPIs, including optimization and troubleshooting recommendations
Coordinate strategies with internal teams across multiple brands and business lines, including over 1000 local banking and insurance websites.
Provide support and recognition for your team and effectively foster teamwork that drives motivation and retention
Participate in the training, individual development, on-boarding and mentoring of each staff member
Work closely with external consultants to bring additional knowledge and impact to company goals.
Experience
5+ years of experience in organic search engine marketing. Working with B2C websites preferred.
Experience working with writers and content development from and SEO perspective
Proven team leadership and management experience
Strong data analytics and strategy background
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Exceptional oral, written and presentation/communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, and eagerness to work as member of a team
Ability to think strategically and drive solid results to grow the business
Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork
Education
4 year college degree or equivalent work experience required, graduate degree a plus
