Content syndication startup looking for part-time consultant to oversee critical construction and operations of internet and social sites to maximize SEO value, particularly in relation to video. Full-time programmer will do coding according to desired specifications. Plans include creation of Roku, Google TV, Apple TV, etc. channels.
The SEO Specialist will work closely with our programming team to help develop, implement and manage SEO and social campaigns for video content. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with all levels of a startup including management, IT and outside consultants.
To increase our organic search engine rankings for a long list of diverse keywords related to our video content.
To bring in large volumes of highly targeted traffic to our websites.
To dominate SERPs for our content both in organic and video search.
Review our websites and make optimization recommendations in all areas including site architecture, microdata markup, title tags, meta optimization, keyword placement in current content, development of new content, internal and external link-building.
Create a plan for ongoing search engine optimization including all of the above in addition to collaborations other areas, such as social media and blogs.
Implement search engine optimization plans.
Create, interpret and present analytics reports including key statistical factors (keyword/link/rank/index) of SEO efforts, using Google Analytics and SEO tools.
Continually recommend/implement optimization improvement tactics based on keyword and market research, traffic analysis and overall trends.
Stay abreast of video SEO and general industry news, competitors and best practices.
Create and maintain centralized SEO best practices documentation for the use of the entire web team and downstream partners.
Research and implement broader video channel campaigns such as Roku, Google TV, Apple TV, and so on.
Flexible requirements based on skills
Demonstrated track record of SEO success, particularly with regard to video.
Experience in analyzing marketing metrics, quantitative evaluations of marketing efforts, establishing test methodologies, and analyzing results, using Google Analytics and other SEO tools.
Extensive knowledge of the current web marketing landscape, including SEO, SEM, social media, and more, and how to maximize the impact of all platforms together.
Interest in constantly expanding video SEO and general web marketing knowledge in order to find cutting edge techniques.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, critical thinking and independent learning abilities.
Strong writing, communication, presentation, organization and analytical skills.
Able to multitask and prioritize - must work well under pressure.
Must be able to work efficiently without supervision.
Must also have a strong team mentality and a “can do” attitude.
Must be comfortable working with content management systems.
Must have basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
