The Sr. Manager for Member Professional Development is a combination of leader (25%) and individual contributor (75%).

As the lead for Bersin & Associates Member Professional Development efforts, this person will work closely with the VP of Research and with the rest of the company’s overall leadership team to execute on overall Member Professional Development strategy, including driving product strategy, product development priorities, and product release plans. This includes conception and design of content, development, launch to Member community, evaluation, ongoing operations, and expansion of each product’s use within Member organizations. Initially, this role will own several major related initiatives, including Bersin Basics – our growing e-learning offering.

As the primary individual contributor, this role will create and/or source much of the content that comprises our Professional Development offerings, as well as consult to the Research Analyst team on the creation and best use of related content. Ongoing, this role will engage with Member Success, Client Services and Sales to capture the evolving professional development needs of current and prospective members.

Ownership and Product Manager for Bersin Basics (e-learning)
Manage all aspects of product life cycle.
Collect, refine, and prioritize new requirements.
Work with VP Research and company leadership team to define product strategy. Translate strategy into product roadmap.
Consulting with Practice leads to determine new content needs and to maintain existing content.
Consulting with Practice leads to ensure content quality and alignment with research.
Point person for triaging member content-related issues/comments/suggestions.
Conducting related Instructional Design activities as needed.
Consulting with Marketing to define core positioning and messaging for products.
Learning Architecture
Working with Research Leadership Team (RLT) to design and implement a comprehensive learning architecture for Bersin members covering the best use of instructional and/or performance support approaches for a given need or outcome, including both formal (e.g., classroom workshops and Bersin Basics e-learning courses) and informal (e.g., TOOLS, LEXICON, communities of practice, etc.). Will own the continued use of and improvement of that learning architecture over time. (As example, one outcome of the learning architecture will be defining a required set of tools, e-learning, and possible workshop(s) that will become required for core HIGH IMPACT research programs.)
Working with RLT and Practice leads to properly situate our Professional Development activities and content within the overall research strategy for each Practice.
Member Professional Development Curricula
Working with Practice leads to map Research content, Support content (TOOLS), and instructional content (Bersin Basics, workshops, etc) to various solution contexts (Challenges) to support greater accessibility and utility of our research.
Working with Practice leads to design ongoing professional development curricula for our members
10 or more years of business experience using instructional systems design and/or performance consulting methodologies within a company or as part of a consultancy, including direct experience with conceiving, designing, developing, implementing, evaluating, and maintaining live instruction, technology-enable instruction, and performance support content.
5 or more years of business experience as a program, product, or curriculum design manager, overseeing the entire lifecycle of learning.
Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and best practice.
Demonstrated knowledge of HR and Learning programs, processes and technology.
Demonstrated expertise in overall learning program and/or curriculum management.
Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design, assessment design, and certification design.
Experience in the best use of a learning management system.
Able to develop a critical point of few and articulate it clearly, concisely in both writing and orally.
Experience interacting with senior level executives and decision makers.
Strong people management and leadership skills
Experienced facilitator.
Comfortable working in a collaborative environment, providing and accepting continuous feedback and support.
Comfortable working virtually.
Experience working with vendors in the L&D marketplace, including technology providers, consultants, and outsourcing companies,

Minimum Bachelors, Preferred advanced degree (in the field of Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology/Behavior, Education, or Communication.)
This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. Bersin & Associates is headquartered in Oakland, California; however, we will consider a remote candidate for the right fit.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary will depend on experience. Bersin & Associates provides medical, dental, vision, flexible spending plan, 401k plan with 25% employer match, 15 days of paid time off and 10 paid holidays.
