The Sales Administrative Assistant reports to SVP of Sales and completes a variety of tasks supporting the Sales Team members. This employee will be supporting the reps selling the biggest and most complex deals. Candidates should be highly organized, professional, proactive and energetic.
Make cycle calls or specific calls to prospects when sales reps are not able to do so
Research and make travel arrangements
Complete purchase requests and expense reports for the team
Develop and maintain emails templates and provide marketing assistance
Schedule the Sales Engineer and other supporting resources
Take messages, speak with customers as necessary
Manages schedules for Sales Team members
Completion of post sales documentation (Client Manager, Sales Hand Off Check List)
Follow up on post sales activities and ensure that the hand off is complete and successful
Working with Contracts to facilitate completion of negotiations
Completion of pre sales documentation (minimal)
Maintain a library of documentation to be used for all aspects of the sales process
Maintain marketing lists
Complete Salesforce.com updates,documentation and compliance tasks for reps
Perform general research i.e. references, outstanding technical or legal issues, what’s the status of a trial etc.
Additional tasks as requested
2-3 years experience working in a professional office environment
Demonstrated ability to field sales calls as well as general incoming inquiries in a professional and cordial manner
Demonstrated ability to work in an environment requiring him/her to be proactive and self-directed
Ideal candidate would have supported a sales team in past roles
Ability to multi-task and communicate with people of all levels throughout the company as well as vendors, customers and partners
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Attention to detail and organized, proactive
1-2 years using Microsoft office in a professional environment (PPT, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
