Sales Associate

Overview
TheDealist offers our subscribers a way to save time and money while discovering great things to experience around their city. We partner with best in class businesses (spas, events, restaurants, etc.) and offer a platform to increase exposure and drive new customers in a way that creates value for all parties involved.

The Account Executive will take ownership over a particular market, doing diligence and partnering with local businesses to share our mission and procure "members only" offers. We hire entrepreneurial, innovative, and sales-minded individuals - experience with online sales and advertising are key, as is a general passion for helping to build a killer business.
Responsibilities
Prospect, consult with, and close local merchants that fit our pipeline and audience, securing "best available" packages for our readers along with performance based contracts
Participate in the "ideation" of new and creative businesses to be featured
Manage campaign reporting and analytics (be the "go-to" resource for all campaign related matters)
Play an integral role in all aspects of the organization as we expand to new markets
Experience
1 - 3 years experience in online advertising (preferably selling to local merchants)
Experience cold-calling into various types of local businesses a big plus
Skills
All the basics (results oriented, communication / presentation skills, energetic - basically you are a pleasure to be around and extremely responsible)
You enjoy talking to people, calling 50+ people a day makes you excited, closing deals and hitting revenue targets makes you really excited (and you have past results to prove you are a star)
You want to be challenged, make an impact, and learn a ton while attacking the rapidly growing social commerce market
Education
B.A. or B.S. required
Compensation
Salary commensurate with experience, plus opportunity for equity and bonus plan
